kkk so i get this hair dye from hot topic and i put it in my hair and it was so weird when i took a shower a few days after i dyed it , it just came out everywere like purple water was coming out of my hair in the shower is this normal or is this because i didnt bleach my hair ???
It was likely only temporary dye. This type of dye is designed to wash out when you wash your hair. You can go to a place like Sally's Beauty Supply to find permanent or semi-permanent hair dyes.

Most likely you probraly used a rinse, versus regular dye. Bleaching is to whiten your hair so the purple can actually be purple,and not mixed with any other colors, but any how you should go to the beautician.
YOu obviously got hair die that washes out for a purpose. You need to find a permanant hair dye or get a new brand.
you have to bleach your hair first if its not blonde.
maybe you didn't leave the dye on for long enough. read the bottle. some of them tell you to leave it in longer if you want permanent or semi-permanent color. hope that helps
The product was not permanent, permanent gets in to your hair cuticles. No you do not need to bleach hair. Use shampoos and conditioners for color-treated hair and be sure to leave the time it says.

I have never heard of this dye brand, was it permanent? or was it a wash in wash out thing, If it was one that was suppose to wash out then yeah as some of them with the deep shades are designed to come out but if it was a permanent or semi then it should have stayed in, if your not sure look for it on the net %26amp; write them a letter they will send you another for free.
Dont know what you used but if it was a vegetable dye these tend to coat the hair with dye so you may find for the first couple of washes that lots of the excess dye comes out - especially when shampoo is applied to the hair. After the first few washes you should find that the dye does not come out as much and it should settle down. I accidentally turned it to that last night and was shocked at his appearance. i thought his hair was brown. with no facial hair.

At the beginning of this season, Gibbs retired and moved away, and grew his mustache then. For a few eps when he came back to the team on a temp, then later permanent basis, he kept the mustache, but he got rid of it and went clean shaven again.

I think people are culturally conditioned to see long hair as more feminine which, as a woman with extremely short hair, I see as kind of a load of garbage (if you like having long hair, that's fine, of course). Thankfully my husband doesn't have such limited, old-fashioned views. Good for you for cutting yours off! I've known so many women who want to cut their hair but keep it long because their husband/boyfriend looooves long hair. Let him grow some and see what a hassle it is!

Good luck with that color, I did it a few months ago and it faded within a month( i don't wash my hair very often). Be sure to ask your stylist how long the color will last and what you can do to prevent it from fading cuz it's a hard color to keep. Best of Luck!!

My mom is in her late 40s and her hair keeps getting thinner and thinner. It's to the point that at a certain angle you can see her scalp. She is so upset by it and so self concious.
She's tried many things. She got Interlink done which was thousands of dollars. It's a process where someone weaves like three pieces of hair onto one hair to thicken it. It all feel out and made no difference. She bought this $400 shampoo treatment and i think its making her hair even worse.. She is getting so desperate that she's starting to shop for wigs. I know that shell be embarassed if she gets a wig because it will be so obvious.
Does anyone know of anything else that could help her? She hates her body too and I think if she had nicer hair she would have that confidence she needs to get back in shape and get healthy again.
You can actually get hair implants. It's different from hair plugs, it doesn't have to come from your own head either, it can be from a donor. Basically, a doctor will take thousands of little hairs and spread them out across your mom's head (in a few different procedures, probably not all at once). I hear it works pretty well!

i'm sick of it just being "just" curly, i'm an edgy person and want my hair to show you know, me. heres some info : my hair is a dark brown almost black color, its not short or long, like sholder length or a little bit past, its not super super curly its like soft loose curly but not wavy. my style in general is like punk alternative, if you guys have any pics, ideas, whatever can help that'd be great!

I have curly hair, let me try and help. Wear a quoif, expiriment with taking small areas, or large ones and wearing different accesories by holding them in place. Make fake bangs as well! By taking larger sections of hair from the back, and pinning them in edgy ways in the front. You could do loose pigtails/pigtail braids, doesn't sound to edgy, but everything looks cooler when it's loose, and added a clip or headband. Messy buns are also pretty obvious with wavy/curly hair, it looks soo much better than with straight hair!! Good luck!
Get some fringe! It's very chic, if done right. Even if you decide against it, any style of bangs would be good to change up your look. Instead of straightening all parts of your hair, try straightening just your bangs.

There is a naturalistic way that I've heard by finding 100% cranberry juice and combing it through wet hair and then going out in the sun to bake it in a bit. A hairdryer should work, too. I know it works with blondes and lemons as well. Otherwise, John Frieda has come out with a ling of color gloss-type products that enhance your color. Salons will do what is called a color glaze, that will enhance your hair color and shine, but is not permanent. Also, you can get color enhancing shampoos that actually deposit small amounts of color that are available from most salons. They are usually in back, so you have to ask for them. Good luck!

There's a line of shampoos and conditioners, I forget by whom, but they are formulated to bring out your color. It's really meant to help keep your dyed color in longer, but it also helps bring out your natural color.

I take it you are a female; I am a male with very long hair and a short beard, Irish descent. My hair is natuarally light auburn. I wanted the red in my hair to show up more, too.
Here's what I did. I did 2 applications of Auburn henna last night. It made my hair look mostly the same, but with deep red highlights.
I LOVE the results!!!
I think next time I will actually try "light red" to get even more of a Irish red tint to my hair. Oh yes, and I'm told that henna fades naturally within 4 to 6 weeks.

Depends on your hair length....if you have longer hair it gives you style options.... Go with your semi curly..with like a body wave in it.....you can wear a part in the middle, wear a part on the side and wear a side ponytail, wear a high ponytail...endless style options if you have a bit of a wave in it too....

Okay, I found this out. The cheap 1-2 dollar double sided brushes are great to clean hair from the bed. It has soft bristles on one side and hard on other, us the soft side and sweep one swipe, may need to repeat. Masking tape wrapped around three fingers for small things (books) With coats, just the rolly things, Try the shed ender or LoShed spray to slow shedding brush twice daily outside so hair isn't in house Lowers the amount on you.
Try one of those lint roller things with the sticky paper. They work pretty well, but get refills. You'll run through a lot.

Daily, thorough brushing as well. When you bathe her, use a hair dryer that isn't hot, it is cool and is strong enough to blow out the under coat on this dog. Go to a place where you can bathe the dog yourself and they should have one of these high power blowers, it doesn't hurt the dog. Also you can gently vacuum your dog at home if he allows it. I trained my dog to enjoy this after the vacuuming was complete he'd get a liver treat.
First brush her daily that will minimize the shedding. Second they sell dog food that helps reduce shedding so try that or a vitamin for skin and coat. Keep a lint roller handy as well. Give your dog a good bath then brush her good. This will also loosten the hair and make it easier to brush it out. You can use a pet mitt which works great on short haired breeds as well as a brush. Hope this helps!

They show up really well and were temporary b/c she didnt have them after that episode. Now I know she had proffesionals do this for her but how could i get the really intense highlights that wash out at home.
if you got to any drug store in the haircoloring aisle you will find a lot of these things i know one product its called one night stand it's really good! it wears out as soon as you take a shower and its not a crappy product and sooo easy to use!! you can buy it at kmart if you cant find it there are other similar products like this at the drug store

There is no such thing as permanet funky hair color dye. All of the funky colors are semi-permanet. You can get diff. ones that stay in for diff amounts of time. Such as Manic-Panic hair dye
I think your best bet for non-permanent is the spray on hair color. That way you can spray several coats to get it as dark as you want, and it will still wash out.
Kool aid works, or try manic panic hair dyes they come in all kinds of bright colors (sally's beauty or somewhere like that will have it)
If it was bright, vibrant color, I bet they were clip-in hair pieces and not actually colored. I don't remember that exact episode, but see if you think this might be a possibility?

Hair style is everything, look for something online that you like, layers are good... And make sure you get trims, long hair that hasn't been cut in years is gross...
I find that a messy bun works well, and is easy to do. Tip ur head upside down, then twirl it around in a bun. Let hair go in all directions, it's not supposed to be perfect! Then just put it in an elastic, but not at the very base of the bun. Spray with hairspray and ur done.

The only way to make black hair lighter is to bleach it. Cut a little of your hair from the hairline at the back of your head where it won't show, get some light redish blonde dye and test it on it to see if that is the effect you need. You will def need to choose a lighter color than you want in order to lighten black hair. Good luck
take out the color from the black(wait did you dye it black) using revlon color remover and then just dye it over that....i think if you use blonde on where u want to dye you hair red then it works almost as good...or i think it just lightens it for the color

I'd go to some local shows...esp. a local Yorkie specialty. Talk to the Yorkie exhibitors when they have time or ask if you can make an appt. to talk to them another day.
Talk to the dog show vendors, tell them your breed.
The main thing is to keep the hair clean and well brushed and then wrap it with plastic and dental bands to keep the ends from breaking.
Most dog groomers do NOT know how to deal with show coat unless they show that breed themselves.
Keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
Buy good brushes and combs, good products and be patient and gentle when grooming.
Very little hair removal is required on a Yorkie as long as you keep their hair brushed often, like every day. You can do a sanitary cut, pads on the feet, and a little around the inner edge of the eyes and pluck the inner hair of the ear. Keep in mind you have to be extremely careful around the eyes.
Other than that, that is pretty much it. As far as washing, I recommend you do not over bathe any animal. No more than once every three weeks. As long as your dog isn't allergic to anything, you can use just about any mild shampoo. Just make sure you follow a simple rule...a little soap and a lot of rinsing. Good Luck...
What you need to do is find a professional groomer. This is a show dog, you don't want to make errors in cuts. Learn from the groomer.
i've had my first dog(yellow lab) about 2 1/2 weeks...and i think i'm allergic to him! :-(

Sounds like you just really want to get rid of the dog. If you are allergic, you can't be the one who's got to bathe and brush the dog daily, or you will be miserable. You are in for many years of dog-hair EVERYWHERE.
There are roller lint brushes at Wal-mart that are HUGE. That's what we use on large furniture and the carpet. They make many different styles %26amp; sizes of roller brush. Basically it's just backwards masking tape. Works great.
Maybe you can make an appointment to find out for sure if you are allergic, and if so.. are you into taking allergy meds for the next 10-18 years? Perhaps you can get a shot for the allergy, but again, is that worth it for you?

KONG ZOOM groom is the BEST brush for this type of dog - use is circular motions or have somebody brush him for you... a groomer can bathe and shed the dog out.. this will make a HUGE difference...
the food you give him will impact on his shedding as well.... the lower quality foods like ALL from grocery or Wal Mart have so much filler in them they do not help with skin and coat heath.. go to a pet supply store and look for a better food (in Canada I suggest NUTRAM) - (in USA I suggest Notro natural choice or better -. Innova, Canidae, Wellness)

Most likely, No, your hair does not grow too quickly, your haircolor is fading too quickly. Stop coloring your hair at home with a box, you are only damaging it! Think of all the money you could have saved if you were just using GOOD haircolor from a salon and only coloring every 6 weeks. Go to a SuperCuts or a HairCuttery if you have them. They are the most affordable but they know what they're doing!
If it is a matter of hair growing too quickly, then you should switch to a less harmful color system. Redken Shades EQ is a great haircolor for you to try in the salon. It's a demi-permanent color that thinks it's a conditioner! Your hair will feel better AFTER you color! Also, you probably need to change shampoo and conditioners. You want something that is for color-treated hair, and professional products are always the best. My favorites are Redken Color Care shampoo and Conditioner and Biolage Color Care. If you are using a shampoo that says "moisturizing" or "For dry hair"- toss it out! These will only make your color fade faster.
If you insist on using a box of color from the store, there is a new color out, I think loreal makes it, that is a NO AMMONIA NO LIFT color. Try that, it will be better for your hair and it won't hurt it to be doing it that often.
My best advice is to see a professional. If you go to one of the salons I mentioned, walk in and just talk to one of them. Explain your problem. There is no charge for advice, and they will know what is best for your hair.

mine is EXACTLY the same. I also have extremely thick hair and its curly. I straighten mine almost every day. I recently cut my hair. Its about three inches past my shoulders and layered. I also got it thinned. It lays flatter on my back and feels less heavy on my head. I would try it! I love it and am getting my hair cut like this from now on.

Sorry to tell you but the only way to get black out is too bleach it out. You can't dye a lighter color over black. It will be pointless and damage you hair even more...there will little or no change. Please for the love of god don't try and correct the color yourself with box color. Please go to a salon. Yes it might cost more, but it will be worth it in the end. Your hair will thank you. Give it a few weeks to fade a bit...maybe it will lighten to a shade you can live with.

No chance at all, the only way to get rid of the black is to strip it using a strong bleach - professional use only - you will be stuck with the black otherwise until it grows out sorry. I would recommend putting some blonde/purple streaks through the black using a salon of course. No. You will need a pro to strip out the black. Unless it's just non-permanent, in which case, it will wash out in 28 shampoos, and you can hasten it along by washing your hair with Dawn. In fact, even if it's permanent, the Dawn should lighten it some.
you can try to dye your hair again using a light light brown, but that'll only make it a darkish or normal brown. if you want it to be a normal light brown again, then you need to bleach your hair white and then dye it back to light brown. You can't put a lighter color over a darker color. It will only get a bit darker. I've tried it, and it doesn't work. You'll probably have to strip it to the right shade, or strip it lighter than normal and dye it to the desired shade.
You might want to pay a visit to your local Sally Beauty Supply. They can give you instructions on how to go about it, and can sell you the stuff for a very reasonable price.

you could put some bangs in the front of your head, or side bangs, and like wear it down with a braid on one side, Spikes wouldn`t look all that great for a hair style unless it was for a special ocassion or something.
If it`s long hair you got a lot of possibliites, like wear it all down and put 2 braids in the front. Or wear it down with bangs in the front, that would look cute!

I have to agree with most of the people on here. And especially blue. I wanted to dye mine purple and let me tell you, dark colors (regardless as to if you do a quick at home bleach or not) do not show up on dark hair colors.
Especially with you being African American, your hair has so much pigment already in it that chances are you will use a home bleaching kit and it won't work. It will just damage your hair but it isnt going to get "white" like you are hoping for.
You have highlights in your hair that you don't realize and when you bleach, certain points will come out much whiter than others and chances are the place you want to be blue won't bleach at all and will remain dark brownish-black. Or worse--your hair when some of the brown pigment is bleached will be orangey-yellow (as what happens with most african americans)
The hair underneath is not only the hardest hair to do on your own but also grows out the fastest so that after you finally get it perfect--in about 3 weeks it will grow out anyway.
I wouldn't recommend it

So if you got long hair the last time it was short will tell everything from then on.

You can try a kit from the drug store like walgreens, but it would help if you did bleach the strands. I once helped my friend put pink in her hair and she had black hair. It worked but we needed to put it on longer so make sure you put it on for the time it said and maybe a little longer (if it tells you not to exceed so many minutes DON'T go over that time.).

i dont think it's possible...you probably will have to bleach because black hair is highly pigmented....meaning it has a lot of color as opposed to blond hair is less pigmented. i tried dying my friends hair a cranberry color once and it didn't work because she has black hair.
Yeah, I don't think it will show well b/c of the color of your hair, but maybe you can get extensions. This woman at a salon I went to a few weeks ago got red extensions and it only cost her like $10. Good Luck!
I'm about to do the same thing , but dye my ends purple. To be honest bleach is the only way. I have black (afro) hair and it won't show at all seeing as purple ain't really bright. On the other hand you can get the lightest shade of purple which be lilac-ish colour and it might show up a bit in the sunlight good luck :)

If you have dark hair and are dying it with semi-permanant or demi-permanant hair dye, it will hardly show up at all. Semi- and demi- dyes kind of blend with your original hair color, so dying streaks purple in black hair will really only tint those streaks, and probably won't be noticable at all unless you're in the sun.
Bleaching is a better way to go for streaks, and it's not that difficult. If you bleach streaks of your hair, it will make the hair dye last much longer. When bleaching, you are stripping your hair of its natural pigmentation and inserting a new one, which is why the purple would show up so much better if you bleached it. And once the purple washes out, which will probably be in a couple of months, it should be easy to dye those streaks black again to match your natural hair color.
You can pick up both purple hair dye and a bleaching kit at Hot Topic, either in person or from their web site. I personally use Special Effects, which I believe to be the best brand out there. I wouldn't really go with Manic Panic, another brand, as that tends to give you a lamer color and washes out far too quickly. Make sure that when you buy the hair dye, no matter if you're bleaching it or not, you also buy a tinting brush. It's just a tool used to make the dye go on much easier, and they're generally pretty cheap.
If you do decide to bleach streaks of your hair, DO NOT apply the conditioner afterwards that comes with the bleaching kit. It will close off your hair to any more color products, and the purple will not penetrate the strands as well.

I am almost sure that Hillary Clinton has a perm with large rollers. Plus a color job which does have a tendecy to dry your hair out a bit and make it even more wavy.
To do a basic Hillary Do, Wash your hair and while it is wet, apply a good heavy mousse primarily at the roots but do put a bit towards the ends of your hair. Tip your head upside down and blow dry your hair upside down. This will give you the body you need. After it is dry, Take a big curling iron and roll sections of your hair back from your face. Use your fingers, not a comb to make the separations and definitions as you would like. Then lightly spray it in place.

its about products. try using some palmade to seperate and define chunks of your hair, and also you are going to need lift. Try a root lifting spray. I would say that to really achieve your desired look, go to a high end salon or spa and tell them what you want, they will do your hair and then try to sell you the products that they used to get that look!

it is very difficult to answer this question over the net since i cannot see your hair. therefore, the best answer i can give to anyone is a very good haircut. the cut is what makes the greatest difference when styling your hair. when you get a great cut, ask the stylist to teach you how to style it. the second tip is products and tools. having a great hair brush and a bristled round brush to style your hair. using a good base product like mousse, gel or styling lotion or mud (which ever suits your hair type best) as a base when you style it and then set it with a spray.
a good cut is the best first step; also practice using a curling iron; experiment, experiment, experiment - everyone's hair is different

well i can give you my best info!
she has loads of choppy layers in her hair with highlights in.
the highlights are done like weaving, the hairdresser would use some foil to do this..
if you lack the styling skills it will be a bit tricky to do her hair.
and short hair is the most hardest style you can do!
but funnest.
blow dry it high up with a round brush.
so you can give it some volume.
and if you need to straighten your hair, make sure you bend the straighteners at the top by your roots.
it's the root that bends, not the hair! =]
i'd also use products.
short hair needs loads of products!
you'll need some hair moose, something to give it the volume and to make sure it lasts till your next wash.
i use Tresemme moose, professionals use it and it's amazing stuff!
if you're gonna straighten your hair, make sure you have some heat protecting stuff.
and you'll need some hairspray aswell.
spray the roots gently, don't hold it too close to your hair.
it'll just make it look greasy and it'll be a waste of al that time blow drying!
you can also use some other sort of products to shape your hair so you can fiddle with it to get it perfect.
i mainly use this gum stuff by Toni%26amp;Guy.
make sure the products you get are good ones.
hair products used by hairdressers tend to be much better than normal ones.
doesn't matter if you can't get it to look exactly like hillary's hair

You need to use a styling wax or paste to seperate the hair pieces. Matrix Stix is what I use and I like it...
Can you say Glue.Your stylist should have told you! Bad stylist! Since I am not looking at the texture of your hair go back to your stylist or any stylist and ask which glue,paste,wax, or if your hair is thin maybe just hair shine serum, that you should use.If it's to expensive there you can usually get the same thing at a drug store,just remember the name.
